June 29, 2018 from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m.
Selina’s South; Santa Teresa, Costa Rica

Join Megan Bowers, MAc, LMT on Friday, June 29, 2018 from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. for a COMPLIMENTARY INTRO TO COMMUNITY ACUPUNCTURE EVENT. Acupuncture is a gentle, holistic approach to enhancing self-healing where body, mind, and spirit are treated as a whole. Through doing so, a unique system of treating pain and disease has evolved that is safe, non-invasive and without side effects. Acupuncture has been scientifically proven to effectively treat a host of symptoms including pain (chronic and acute), anxiety, headache, digestive problems, menstrual symptoms, insomnia, infertility and much more.

Community acupuncture uses points on the extremities and can be received fully clothed. Participants are encouraged to wear looser fitting clothes that can easily roll up to elbows and knees.

Experience deep relaxation while the mind and body reconnect. Join us on June 29th!

July 2 – 9, 2018
Santa Teresa, Costa Rica

Join us at our second annual EDUCATOR WELLNESS RETREAT being held July 2 – 9, 2018. We will have you relaxing, refreshing, and renewing at one of the earth’s most beautiful tropical beaches – Santa Teresa, Costa Rica. You work hard, so you should play hard too!

Hop on a flight to the Nicoya Peninsula, then land on the pristine jungle beaches of Santa Teresa. Wake up in the lush green jungle town where howler monkeys roam, adventure awaits at every corner, and “pura vida” is the rule!
This retreat focuses on building your body, mind, and soul from the inside and outside. You will learn to surf in the Pacific with multiple surf lessons from ISA professional surf instructors, receive an ocean front massage, join multiple meditation and breathwork sessions on the beach, practice yoga high above the canopy tree line, take a guided tour to the famous Montezuma waterfalls, zip line through the jungle’s canopy, and enjoy a snorkel tour/boat excursion to Isla Tortuga. In addition, you will earn 6 CEU’s regarding Cultural Competency in the Classroom and Mindfulness Techniques. Led by sisters Megan Bowers, MAc, LMT and Kerri Bowers, MSEd, you will gain knowledge of not only ways to help manage stress in yourself, but also tools to help your students manage in the classroom. In addition, you will develop your cultural competency and mindfulness through meaningful workshops and sessions led by local experts. You will test your limits of cultural understanding, expand your comfort zone, and travel with a purpose.
